Starting Summer 2010, the students of the NVC - College of Criminal Justice will use six brand new classrooms housed in a two - storey building constructed at the back of the existing Criminology Building. Four of these rooms will become classrooms while two others will house the Permanent Crime Scene Room and Accreditation Office.
The construction costs 2.5 million pesos. It is implemented by the Nagamos Builders and Engineers (NBE).
Through the years, the number of Criminology students of NVC has steadily increased which had prompted the management to construct new rooms.
Atty. Allen S. Quimpo formally announced the plan during the Testimonial Banquet for New NVC Criminologists on December 16, 2009. The president also added that the accreditation of the Criminology program will push through on the second quarter of 2010. The announcement of the president earned the applause from Criminology instructors and students.
NVC is one of the pioneering higher educational institutions to offer Criminology program in the province of Aklan and in Western Visayas.
