New Criminologists take oath, NVC Criminology Stronger in Western Visayas



The Professional Criminologists Association of the Philippines (PCAP)Region 6 and the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) jointly sponsored the Oathtaking Ceremony of New Registered Criminologists held on December 11,2009 at the Iloilo Grand Hotel
Dr. Dennis Ibutnande, PCAP Director for Region 6 and President of the council of deans of Criminology,extended his gratitude to the PRC management and CODe Criminal Justice for the support. for several years, Western Visayas is the only region in the country that holds an oathking ceremony for new Criminologists outside Manila.

Dr.Manuel V. Jaudian, PCAP National President, announced two pending bills in Congress that will enhance the rights and privileges of Criminologists in the police, jail, fire service bureaus. These bills will also improve the plight of Criminologists in the NBI. He asked the support of all Criminologists to lobby to their respective congressmen to fast track the passage of these bills.
In her message,Dir. Honey F. Paredes stressed the importance of preparedness should the new Criminologists opt to join the police force.
For her part, Dir. Lily Ann R. Baldago congratulated the new batch of Criminologist's test in recent years based on the number of passers.
